Paintings 2012-2013
The concept of comfort is unique to every individual, but specific elements that comprise personal comfort are more universal. Memory is often where one’s mind recedes when in a time of trouble. Community is the support system that many turn to in times of turmoil. Home is the safe place where one can truly retreat in times of crisis. My work is an exploration of how the elements of community, home, and memory are intertwined with identity and the structure of personal comfort.
